We had a sad weekend, we said good-bye to Sabi. This was sooo sad but we have felt for a while now that it is unfair to her to be cooped up in the house all day, she deserves a farm. She is to hard to walk b/c she doesn't like other dogs so she growls and snarls at them every time we pass another dog. She went to a family on a ranch about an hour out of town, we are welcome to visit her. They have 3 boys ranging from 6-14 yrs. They have a cabin at the lake and will take her hunting. They even want her to sleep at the foot of there bed! I turned about 4 people away before I chose this family, it just felt like this was the family for her. They say they will keep in touch and email pictures to us. I took the kids to Walmart when they came for her b/c I just couldn't be there, it would have been to hard. The kids don't even seem to notice that she is gone, and Rosie is having to much fun with Molly to notice. Jared wanted this last picture of them together before she left, I cried as I took it. I am tearing up now as I type this!

Oh my gosh, I'm getting teary-eyed! That must have been hard to say goodbye but it sounds like she is going to a REALLY good home! Good for you for being choosy about where she lives and it is great that you can go visit her!
Miriam
I completely echo what Miriam said. Good for you to put her best interest first.
That is a hard thing having to make a choice like that. we had a siberian husky and had to do the same thing...it hard not to be emotional, they are a part of your family. how nice that you can go visit her...that makes it easier! Cute pictures of the kids too..how fun to enjoy the sunshine! yippee for summer!!
So sad youhad to get rid of Sabi but looks like you picked a good home for her. I got teary eyed reading that! Kinda like when we saw that movie(name escapes me now):)
