Dylann's first day of kindergarten!

I can't believe that Dylann is in school! It really didn't bother me the first few days when I took her. She was very excited, not at all nervous. Her second week of school, I walked her as usual, so the bell rings and all the kids to go running to line up (she starts at 12:45 so all the other kids are at rescess) . So as all these kids are running one little 6 yr old trips and falls and breaks her arm...just like that, just a trip....I have never seen a broken arm, it was broken between the wrist and elbow, and I mean BROKEN, like it looked like she had 2 elbows! Anyways this made me think if this was to happen to Dylann I wouldn't be there! I had a hard time getting the image of this girls arm out of my head! I am getting over it though. Anyway for some reason when I drive Dylann and she jumps out and puts her backpack on and is walking away...looking so little...it is harder than when I walk her, I guess b/c I am just sitting there watching her walk away. She is loving it though. Yesturday I walked her across the bussy street and she said "I can go the rest of the way myself Mom" (basicaly just through the school yard). Anyway, here is her first day of school picture!

I hear you sista! I have seen some crazy stuff happen at school while I was volunteering and it makes you want to be there everyday..just to make sure! I had a complete breakdown when Emma got on the bus. She turned back, waved goodbye, and sat down...not even a glance back at me. I don't know why I was expecting SOMETHING.?! But, I turned away and just LOST it. I had to run to her school with the truck to make sure the bus got there safely! lol
What us mom's won't do!
Can you imagine what we will be like when they start high school. I have some sympathy for my mom now...I always thought she was a bit obsessive! lol
Cute picture..she looks very happy!
